have worked on my job at Coop Mega to save money to a “russebuss” and I started thinking about what a waste of money it is. In Norway we have a tradition that starts in the end of April and lasts to 17th of May. In about 3-4 weeks we are driving around in big busses that we have used about 6 month to build and decorate. Not everyone have busses but I
live in a place that is known for using money on this so I follow the others. We are 21 girls that has a bus we call Wackadoodle. We have also paied someone to make a song about and just for us, that we play wherever we go. It is a really sick tradition, where many people pays 50 000 Norwegian kroners each to make this bus. Some busses are compeating to have the biggest stereo equipment and in 2008 a buss hired the stereo that Metallica used on a tour.
But anyway,
those weeks are filled with drinking and drinking and more drinking. So it is actually a 3 weeks long Party. It is the worlds secound biggest party. In some of those events that is arranged
there is 10 000 18 and 19 years old teenagers that listen to music and dance. I have looked forward to this since I was like 10
years old, and now it is my turn. In about 5 month I’m going to take on red baggy pants and jump around like an idiot with my best friends. I Can’t wait to experience the biggest event so far in my life!!
